When does the raffle start and end?
The raffle will start at 8:00am (WST) on Wednesday 12 August 2020 and end at 11:59pm (WST) Wednesday 30 September 2020.
How many prizes are there?
There are 3 prizes to be won, including the Grand Prize, Early Bird Prize and the Bonus Prize.
How many tickets will be sold?
Only 4,000 tickets will be available.
Can tickets win multiple prizes?
Early Bird prize and Bonus prize winning tickets will be returned to the main prize draw, and are still eligible to win a 2020 BMW X1 sDrive20i worth $57,290 OR $50,000 cash.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are $50 each.
Do I get a discount if I buy more than 1 ticket?
No, under the conditions of the permit all tickets are $50 each. No discounting is allowed in Western Australia.
How can I purchase a ticket?
Tickets can be purchased via the following:
- Via credit card (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX )or PayPal online at www.varietyraffle.com.au (or https://fundraise.varietywa.org.au/raffle/2020-raffle)

- In person at our office, 102 Burswood Road, Burswood by prior arrangement.
Can people under 18 years old purchase a ticket?
No. All ticket holders must be 18 years or older. Tickets cannot be purchased under the name of, or for, a minor.
When will I receive my tickets purchased online?
You will receive an email with an attachment within 4 hours of your successful purchase. Page 1 of the attachment is your payment receipt and Page 2 will state your ticket number/s in the top left corner of each ticket. Please ensure that you enter your email address correctly.
Where do funds raised go?
All proceeds from the 2020 Variety Car Raffle benefit Variety - the Children’s Charity, supporting Western Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or live with disability. By purchasing a ticket, you will help WA kids in need to overcome the obstacles they face, providing much needed mobility, health, education and recreation equipment and programs, right around the state. Are tickets tax deductible?
Raffle ticket purchases are not classified as donations and are therefore are not tax deductible.
Are the prizes donated?
No, prizes are not donated. Variety - the Children’s Charity negotiates the best possible (often discounted) prices from prize suppliers, where possible. If your business would like to donate a prize for an upcoming raffle or you are interested in corporate support of Variety - the Children’s Charity, please call us on 9355 3655.
I purchased my ticket but haven’t received it yet, what do I do?
Tickets will be emailed to you after your purchase is complete. If you do not have an email address, please call Variety on 9355 3655 to purchase over the phone and we will post your ticket to you.
If you provided an email address, please make sure you check your junk and spam mail if you haven't received your ticket within 72 hours of purchase.

I purchased multiple tickets but only received one email
If multiple tickets are purchased at one time, only one email will be sent out via email as a PDF attachment. Page one of the attachment is a receipt for your purchase, followed by a second page on which your individual raffle tickets will appear. Your raffle number is located in the top left corner of each ticket.
I live interstate. Can I still buy a ticket?
Entry is open to all residents, Australia-wide.
I live overseas. Can I still buy a ticket?
Unfortunately, you cannot buy a ticket using an overseas address. However, you may wish to purchase a ticket from overseas using a family member’s address, provided it is located within Australia.
How do I know my credit card and personal details are secure?
All credit card details and transactions are processed using a bank approved, secure payment gateway. No credit card numbers are stored.
When processing my credit card details what is the “add a little extra to help cover fees” for?
Did you know that there are fees associated with all online transactions? You can help cover some of the fees associated with your transaction by leaving the “add a little extra to help cover fees” tick-box ticked. You can remove this small fee by simply ‘unchecking’ the tick box. Unfortunately we are unable to refund merchant fees processed in error.

Early Bird and Bonus Prize FAQs
What is the Early Bird prize?
The Early Bird Prize is $10,000 cash which will be deposited into the winner’s nominated bank account within 3 business days of receiving the account details.
When does the Early Bird close?
Only tickets purchased before 11:59pm (WST) Wednesday 2 September 2020 are eligible for the Early Bird Prize draw.
When will the Early Bird prize be drawn?
The Early Bird Prize draw will be conducted on Friday 4 September 2020. The winning ticket for the Early Bird Prize will be re-entered and is eligible to win the Bonus Prize as well as the Grand Prize.
What is the Bonus Prize?
The Bonus Prize is $5,000 cash which will be deposited into the winner’s nominated bank account within 3 business days of receiving the account details.
When does the Bonus Prize close?
Only tickets purchased before 11:59pm (WST) Wednesday 16 September 2020 are eligible for the Bonus Prize draw. This includes ticket holders who purchased during the Early Bird period.
When will the Bonus Prize be drawn?
The Bonus Prize draw will be conducted on Friday 18 September 2020. The winning ticket for the Bonus Prize will be re-entered and is eligible to win the Grand Prize.
If I purchase my ticket for the Early Bird or Bonus Prizes, do I need to register again?
If you purchase your ticket within the Early Bird Period, you don’t have to register or purchase again. Being an early bird simply means that you’ve bought your ticket before midnight on Wednesday 2 September 2020, which makes you eligible for the bonus prize and the grand prize as well.
When will the Grand Prize be drawn?
The Grand Prize will be drawn at 10:00am on Wednesday 7 October 2020.
What happens if I win the Grand Prize?
The winner of the Grand Prize will have the option to accept a 2020 BMW X1 sDrive20i worth $57,290 OR $50,000 cash. The Grand Prize winner will be given 48 hours from the time of notification to make their decision.
How will winners be notified?
The winner of the Grand Prize will be called via telephone and then officially notified in writing shortly after the prize draw has been completed.
How will I receive my prize?
The Grand Prize will be awarded as a car or cash.
The winner is responsible for making arrangements to claim their prize. If they choose to take the car, the winner must collect the vehicle in person.

Can I remain anonymous if I win the Grand Prize?
As part of our Terms & Conditions, Variety may publish the first name and suburb location of the Grand Prize winner and may use such information for promotional purposes.
