I'm Getting Active for Kids in Need
We're a lucky family. Two healthy, (very) energetic, happy boys.
Not everyone is as lucky and I'd like to do my bit to raise some money for those not as fortunate. It also seems a bit pointless to run 42km and not ask people to give some money to charity in return for seeing me in so much pain!
I'm really pleased that some of the businesses i have worked really closely with over the last few years have offered me additional support. If i finish the marathon in under 3 hours 45 mins, Plunkett Homes, Rare, Dankz Furniture, Craig Mostyn Group and Carat are going to give me $500 each towards my fundraising total.
I am trying to raise an additional $1500, so if you spend a dollar and you will effectively have it doubled as I try and sprint to the finish line after 42ks. There will be pictures and video evidence of the pain.
So please sponsor me and help change the lives of WA kids who are sick, disadvantaged or living with disability. For more information on what the funds will go towards, have a read below!
Variety WA provides practical help to these kids and their families when no one else can, by providing:
> Financial grants to individuals and community organisations
> Scholarships for sport, art and education
> Programs to educate and empower kids and their families
> Unique experiences to create special memories that kids can hold onto in tough times
