Promotion Period: The Promotion will commence on 25 July 2024 and conclude at 11:59pm on 11 September 2024. All times recorded throughout these Terms and Conditions are in Australian Western Standard Time.
Eligibility: Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. Note: prize winners will be required to provide evidence of age.
Employees of the Promoter, and their immediate family members residing at the same address, are prohibited from purchasing a ticket.

Maximum number of tickets in the draw: Only 5,445 tickets at $25 each will be sold.

Prize Pool: Total maximum retail value of the prize pool is $70,802.09. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated. All prizes must be accepted as awarded.  Variety WA Incorporated shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or sustained in connection with any prize/s, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

Early Bird Prize

The Early Bird Prize is a choice of either $10,000 cash or a Holiday Max - Greek Islands, Italy and Montenegro Mediterranean Cruise with Venice Stay (13 Day Cruise Package) Variety will purchase from Holiday Max. Variety has decided to offer the alternative cash prize to be an even $10,000 for marketing purposes. The winner will have 48 hours to make their decision.

If the cash is chosen it will be deposited into the winner’s nominated bank account within 3 business days of receiving the account details. The holiday is for two people (MSC Cabin with Ocean View) based on the travel date 29 April 2025. Flights from Perth are included in the price and in economy class. Dates subject to availability. At a total price of no more than $10,398. Supplier terms & conditions apply.

The prize can be substituted with a Holiday Max Travel voucher for the same amount. Vouchers are valid for 12 months. Unused prize voucher cannot be refunded, exchanged, sold or redeemed for cash. The following costs are to be borne by the passenger unless specified in the inclusion: transfers, optional tours and services, travel insurance, additional accommodation and meals outside specified in prize inclusions, excess baggage and any other travel related expenses.

Only tickets purchased before 23:59 Wednesday 14 August 2024 are eligible for the Early Bird prize draw. The Early Bird prize draw will be conducted on Thursday 15 August 20 and the winning ticket number will be announced on Friday 16 August 2024 online at: www.varietyraffle.com.au  


The winning ticket for the Early Bird prize will be re-entered and is eligible to win the Bonus Prize and the Grand Prize.


Bonus Prize

The Bonus Prize is a choice of either $5,000 cash or a three-day break for two people at Losari Retreat inc GST.  The Bonus prize winner will be given 48 hours to make their decision.

If the cash is chosen it will be deposited into the winner’s nominated bank account within 3 business days of receiving the account details.

The prize can be substituted for the Losari Retreat at Margaret River 3-day break, Variety WA will purchase it direct from Lorsari Retreat who have agreed to invoice Variety WA no more than $5,000 inc GST.  The break is for Losari Retreat ‘Lux It Up Package’. This incudes, three (3) Nights at Losari Retreat in a luxury spa villa, Bottle of local sparkling wine on arrival, Gourmet Cheese and Crackers grazing hamper, Gourmet Breakfast Hamper, 60-minute scenic Margaret River flight with Scenic Helicopter, Seven (7) hour private wine tour with Mr Mustang Hire, Private 3 course dinner cooked by our villa chef. Only tickets purchased before 11:59pm, Wednesday 28 August 2024 are eligible for the Bonus Prize draw. The Bonus Prize draw will be conducted on Thursday 29 August 20204 and the winning ticket number will be announced on Friday 30 August 2024, online at: www.varietyraffle.com.au

The winning ticket for the Bonus Prize will be re-entered and is eligible to win the Grand Prize.



Grand Prize

The winner of the Grand Prize will have the option to accept a Mahindra XUV700 AX7L Car + $5,000 cash + $3,000 fuel voucher + $2,000 holiday voucher worth $50,485 inc GST or $50,000 cash.

The winner of the Grand Prize must present documentation to meet the 100-point proof of identity. This equates to their current driver’s licence and passport or birth certificate. The Grand Prize winner will be given 48 hours from the time of notification to make their decision.

Cash will be deposited into the winner’s nominated bank account within 3 business days of receiving the account details. Please note that there may be a delay on receiving the car, due to stock availability at the time.  

If the Grand Prize winner chooses to claim the car, they are responsible for making arrangements to collect their prize. Additional costs may apply for delivery of the car if it cannot be collected, such costs will be incurred by the prize winner.

 

Grand Prize Draw: All tickets purchased during the Promotion Period are eligible to win the Grand Prize. The main prize draw will be conducted from 10:00, Thursday 12 September 2024.


Notification and Collection: All prize draws will be conducted by an executive of Variety WA at the Variety WA office, which is located at 102 Burswood Road, Burswood WA 6100.

All prize winners will be called via telephone before being notified via email. Instructions on how to claim prizes will be included in all winner letters. 

Ineligible Entrants: If an ineligible entrant seeks to claim a prize with a purchased ticket, the prize will not be awarded.  In the event that a situation such as this were to happen, Variety WA will seek permission to conduct a redraw of that particular prize via the Government of Western Australia – Racing, Gaming and Liquor Department.

Unclaimed Prizes: Where Variety – the Children’s Charity of WA is unable to verify or contact a winner or any prize remains unclaimed after all reasonable attempts have been made to locate or otherwise contact the winner, the prize will be held for 12 months, after which time Variety WA shall notify the Commission in writing to seek further advice.

Publicity: The Promoter may use prize winners’ details for promotional purposes. By entering the Promotion, the Winners agree to participate in reasonable media activities concerning the Promotion and to photographs or video of the winner being used for the Promoter’s marketing and promotional activities (both in print and on the internet).


Disputes: The decision of the Promoter is final and binding. The records held by the Promoter are deemed correct and final. Please telephone 08 9355 3655 for queries or corrections.

Paying by cheque: Variety WA accepts payments by cheque via mail or in person.  The cheques must be payable to “Variety WA”.

Paying by cheque and deadlines for draws:  Raffle entries and receipts will not be given to the purchaser until the cheques are cleared with the financial institution.  Please allow up 5 business days  and postage delivery time for cheques to BE received and cleared in order to be entered into the draw(s).  Receipts and entries into the raffle draws (early bird, bonus and final/grand draw) will be mailed or emailed as requested by the purchaser.  However, if an email is given, we will send via email as first preference. Variety WA will not process cheques for the final draw if not received 5 days prior to the draw.


Refunds: Raffle tickets are non-refundable for change of mind. Requests for refunds will need written approval of the Gaming and Wagering Commission. This process may take a number of weeks. Refunds cannot be issued after the prize draws have begun.

Unclaimed Prizes: Where Variety – the Children’s Charity of WA is unable to verify or contact a winner or any prize remains unclaimed after all reasonable attempts have been made to locate or otherwise contact the winner, the prize will be held for 12 months, after which time Variety WA shall notify the Commission in writing to seek further advice. 


Alteration: Subject to any regulatory requirements, the Promoter reserves the right to alter these Terms and Conditions to address any misinterpretation, misinformation or misunderstanding, as is permitted by law.


Acceptance: Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
