Carefully packed by Volunteers, your Emergency Pack includes: Two changes of clothing, essential underwear, pyjamas, toiletry items such as soap and toothpaste, reading book, soft toy for comfort and cuddles

In the year just gone 684 West Australian children and young people were placed in foster or other out of home care through no fault of their own. A further 293 were subject to protection orders as they continue to be monitored. These vulnerable people are unable to live with their families for a variety of reasons, which can include abuse or neglect. Many arrive at out of home care with nothing other than the clothes on their back, in a state of shock, feeling abandoned and scared. Operation Sunshine WA, founded the program seven years ago to bring happiness to the lives of children and young people in out-of-home care and crisis accommodation across Western Australia.
